"Add some colour under your Christmas tree with Pentillie Tweeds"
This Friday I will be at a Christmas shopping event at Cockfield Village Hall, Suffolk! With tweed hand bags, purses and cushion as well as hand knitted scraves- add some colour to your Christmas!
Wrap up warm this winter in Wensleydale wool!
Over the past few weeks I have been working on a knitwear collection with Tracy Ranger for her company The Gedgrave Flock. The fashion aceessories and garments are currently in the production process and there is a photo shoot in the planning! Watch this space for a preview of our Aumtumn/Winter 2012 collection....coming soon!
I would like to thank everyone who has supported me over the past year and to those who visited the degree show last week. If you were unable to attend or would like to see future work, I am planning to have a solo exhibition over the summer.
This past week I have produced a hand woven collection dedicated to British wool. The fabics are bursting with colour and detailed structures bringing this traditional fabric into the 21st Century.
This week I have been in Paris as part of my degree course, for sight seeing and to visit the museums and galleries. I compared the Parisian architecture against the British designs I have recently been inspired by.
This week I have been preparing my fabrics for Paris, as well as developing my drawing portfolio. I have been inspired by the works of David Hockney and I have explored his uniques style of drawing alongside my own style. The "arty look" is popular at the moment and I enjoy layering media and combining textures in this style. Also the craft revival is still strong, and I have been considering the value of hand crafted pieces and how to express this within my collection.
This week I have finalised my digital designs to sell at Premier Vision, Paris in February. I plan to continue developing digitial artwork and go onto form a collection of fabrics for my degree show.
"I have had a wonderful Christmas and now back in the studio to develop my work for my degree show in June. Continuing with the theme of British heritage, I am visiting country estates in Suffolk and Norfolk as inspriation for my next collection of samples. Watch this space for new developments..."
